Kala is a wellness practitioner with over fifteen years of diverse experience as a graduate of the Atlanta School of Massage. Throughout her journey, Kala has emerged as Atlanta’s true pioneering PureSculpt Specialist. Known industry wide as a trailblazer, one of her proudest moments includes the honor of becoming the first African-American, female instructor for Academia Maderoterapia, USA.
As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Kala’s training is diverse and spans modalities from Asian studies and breath work to neuromuscular therapy (NMT) and chronic pain techniques. Kala continues to be a determined student, focused on current and innovative treatments that set the ATL Bodyworks experience in a league of its own.
She is passionate about her work, her practice and continues to study and grow her craft. Under the esteemed guidance of Aachan Anthony James, she thrives as a CPT-2 SomaVeda Thai Yoga Practitioner, with her eyes set on Thai Yoga teaching and Ayurvedic Wellness Counseling.
Kalas unparalleled touch is sought after by software billionaires, celebrities, professional athletes, and movie studios alike, however, ATL Bodyworks remains accessible to those simply seeking a transformative touch.
When she’s not “working her magic” on one her treasured clients, Kala cherishes every moment with her grandsons, Chase and Clayton, as well as her two children, mom and sister.
Ultimately, Kalas goal is to share her knowledge and wisdom, training the next generation of wellness practitioners, with a focus on viewing the industry through a much broader and sophisticated lens, encompassing not just beauty and appearance but integrity, mindfulness, self-respect and the utmost in customer satisfaction.
